Dance Artist

Biography

I am emersed in mainly contemporary dance but not exclusively, my movement language contains fluidity and long lines whilst also being intricate and highly physical. I have a strong skill set as a technical performer and also have an array of styles that I have collected within the dance world, such as ballet, jazz, commercial, heels, African and aerial.

I value working in a safe and encouraging environment where everyone can feel supported and comfortable to be themselves, being kind to everyone you meet in the industry is another value, this will allow any show to be performed to the highest quality building strong connections with other dancers and choreographers. I also value being dedicated and hard working, I believe these attributes will help me gain the best success and results when being in the dance industry.

Dance Experience

MIRAGE - Hawk Dance Theatre

MIRAGE was a dance theatre piece for our 3rd year project at the University of Salford, in collaboration with Josh Hawkins, Josh Wilde and Helen Le Roux. The piece was about creating illusions with the dancers to create interesting images through lighting, costume and positioning on stage. My role in the piece was rehearsal director and company dancer through this 6 week process.

Together Alone - Chloe Smith and Georgia Brown

This piece is a dance performance created by two 3rd year students for their dissertation module. It tells the story of nine people washing up on a stranded unknown island and watch as they work together to get through any danger in their way. My role within this project was to be a company dancer and to play around with improvisation.
